Think Series Leadership Programme 2013

Year 6: Your Voice, Your Choice

The ThinkSeries Leadership Programme challenges students to innovate and collaborate with an international team of professionals.

Now entering its 6th year, the ThinkSeries team will address hope and global education, guiding the participants to become principled leaders with global perspectives.

The ThinkSeries Leadership Programme 2012/13

True leaders know how to engage with, connect to and empower others; they know how to see and hear. True leaders take action and respond to their surroundings—they don’t simply wait and react. In short, true leaders are life-long learners who understand their strengths and weaknesses and have both vision and passion.

Your Voice, Your Choice is about discovering who you are as an individual, how you establish your leadership skills and, ultimately, how you craft a learning journey that will help to personalise learning experiences for Hong Kong students.

Programme Objectives

  • Find your drive: Connect with and reflect upon your inner passions and aspirations
  • Craft your path: Work closely with industry experts to design a learning journey that best address the way you and your peers want to learn
  • Build your leadership context: Establish a Personal Learning Network that builds empathy, establishes communities, and sustains self-development
  • Assert your presence: Engage in a global publishing opportunity and showcase to have your voice heard and your potential seen

Programme Outcomes

  • Understand and develop your unique leadership style
  • Design a leadership project that impacts learning experiences for your generation
  • Present your work to your peers and educators from across Hong Kong in a showcase at the end of the programme
  • Engage in global publishing opportunities to have your voice be heard worldwide

Selection Process

  • Interested applicants will need to submit a 90-second video as their declaration of intent. Your declaration of intent should address the following guiding questions:

  • - Why are you a good candidate for the ThinkSeries 2012/13 leadership class?

    - What can you bring to the programme that is unique?

    - What areas of personal growth would you like to address through this experience?
    - As a learner, what is your view on the existing education experience? What works? What doesn’t? How can it be improved?

  • Nominations from each school are unlimited.
  • Short-listed nominees will be invited for an interview.
  • A maximum of 30 students will be selected.
  • Students with financial difficulties will be supported with a ThinkSeries Scholarship.
